Finn Grand Fest 2010, Sault Ste Marie, July 28th to August 1st, 2010
The Finnish embassies and consulates in Canada and the United States will be present in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, to provide passport service for Finns living both in Canada and in the US.
At the Finn Grand Fest the passport application process is virtually the same as at the Finnish embassies and consulates. When submitting the application, not only fingerprints, but also a photo of the applicant will be taken. The application can only be processed if the applicant’s personal data (name, date and place of birth) is up-to-date in the Finnish population register. Also, children born outside of Finland cannot apply for a passport unless their birth and citizenship details are registered into the population register. Passport instructions and fees are available at www.finland.org -> Services for Finns.
Please contact the Consulate General of Finland in Los Angeles by phone (310) 203 9903 ext. 4 or via email passi.los@formin.fi if you are interested in submitting a passport application during the festival. All passport applicants are kindly requested to make an appointment in advance.
